Totus Tuus

2016

Totus Tuus is coming back to Dubuque this summer!  Hosted at St. Anthony's Parish on June 12-17 and open to all Dubuque parishioners, Totus Tuus means "Totally Yours!" and was the motto of St. John Paul II. It signifies our desire to give ourselves totally to Jesus through Mary, his mother. Participants will be led by a team of eight dynamic college students - four men and four women - who are on fire for their faith. Eucharistic worship, catechesis, evangelization, sacraments, and fun will light the fire for faith and increase participants’ desire to deepen their relationship with God.

There are two age groupings for Totus Tuus:

Students entering grades 1-6 in the 2016-2017 school year can participate in the day program, Monday - Friday, June 13-17 from 9:00 AM - 2:30 PM. Students will be asked to bring their own lunches, but snacks and drinks will be provided. The cost for the day program is $35. Participants will start each day in O'Malley Hall. Open to all of Dubuque.

Students entering grades 7-12 in the 2016-2017 school year can participate in the evening program, Sunday - Thursday, June 12-16 from 7:00 PM - 9:15 PM. (Due to activities planned on Wednesday and Thursday, the dismissal time might run slightly later than 9:15 PM.) Snacks and drinks will be provided. If your 7th-12th grader has a food allergy/diet restriction, please call or email Program Coordinator, Stephanie Klapatauskas (582-0377, dbq060ff1@dbqarch.org). Free will donations are accepted. There is no registration for the evening program. Come to one session or come to all, and bring a friend! Participants will start each evening in O'Malley Hall.

The theme for this year's Totus Tuus curriculum is Prayer and the Our Father and will be complimented by a focus on the Glorious Mysteries.

There are ample opportunities for volunteers for both the day and evening programs. Most importantly, we ask for your prayers. Prayers for the team, prayers for the participants, and prayers for all those volunteering and involved behind the scenes. Pray that we may all be open to God's will and grow ever closer to him both during and beyond this week. Lastly, there will be a POTLUCK on Wednesday, June 15 at 5:30 PM in O'Malley Hall at St. Anthony Church. All Dubuque parishioners are welcome to attend (even without having a student participating in Totus Tuus). A main dish will be provided. Please plan to bring a dish to pass and drinks for your family.
