Gabriel Project

St. Anthony’s participates in a national program called the Gabriel Project initiated by the Archdiocese of Dubuque and supported by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. The Gabriel Project is a parish-based ministry to Women in crisis pregnancies.

A parish essentially “adopts” a Mom and provides for her material, emotional, and spiritual needs. The Gabriel Project supports a mother in distress in order to support her with what she needs to continue her pregnancy. Parish members can become involved in a variety of ways from providing an item for a yearly baby shower, taking a Mom to lunch or dinner, providing a ride to doctor, helping with household repairs, providing basic financial counseling, being part of a prayer line for Moms, or babysitting.

If interesting in becoming involved in the Gabriel Project at St. Anthony’s, please contact: Jackie Crimmins at 582-7949 or Sue Lansing at 583-0457.
