First Communion and First Reconciliation Sacramental Prep will remain the

 same this year as we move forward in the Dubuque Area West Pastorate.

First Communion and First Reconciliation Sacraments are typically celebrated in 2nd grade but can be celebrated by older students. Students begin this process in the Fall. Youth Faith Formation (in school or in Wednesday Evening YFF classes) is required to be in sacramental preparation. Fall semester consists of a parent meeting, reconciliation centers, and the Sacrament of Reconciliation. In the Spring semester, we also have a parent meeting, Eucharist centers, and the Sacrament of the Eucharist.

Registration Status: Registration is OPEN for the 2026-2027 year. Deadline for registering is October 5, 2026.

Sacramental Fee: $40 

***Registration Note:  We will be using a the same registration system as last year (25/26) called School Systems. This registration system is used for RE and Sacramental Prep Registration. New Families will have to create a new account when registering. Scroll down on the website to create a new account. Returning families will use the same account as before.  If you are only signing up for Sacramental Prep Registration please click only that session option when registering. If you are signing up your child for both School Year Wednesday Night Youth Faith Formation and Sacramental Prep click both session options when registering.

Communication: Please register for St. Anthony Flocknote, even if you are a member of another church from the pastorate. Flocknote will be the main form of communication throughout the year for all Confirmation Class notifications.  Click here to register
