St. Anthony Giving Tree 2026

For a good number of years St. Anthony’s Giving Tree has provided for needs at Almost Home, Catholic Charities, and Hawkeye Area Community Action Program (HACAP). There have been other agencies, but these groups have relied primarily on donations from St. Anthony, and we feel called to continue to support them. We realize that donations will be less since people won't be attending weekend masses at St. Anthony, but we want to provide a means to donate for people who choose to do so. With fewer opportunities to pick up tags and donate gifts, the tree will be set up much earlier this year. It will be in the gathering space from October 15 through December 4. This will provide opportunities to pick up tags and drop off donations at the October 15 and November 19 prayer and potlucks, or when visiting the November 6-7 Used Book Sale. If you wish to participate in the Giving Tree project, please stop by the gathering space and take a tag. Donations to Almost Home (unwrapped) can be placed in the box by the Giving Tree at any time. Monetary donations can be dropped off at Prayer and Potluck evenings, or dropped off or mailed to the St. Anthony parish office: 1870 St. Ambrose Street.  Please place your cash or check payable to “St. Anthony Giving Tree,” in an envelope marked “Giving Tree.” The last day for donations will be Sunday, December 6.
