Giving Tree, St Anthony 2021
Dear St Anthony Parishioner,
For many years the Social Justice Committee has organized the annual Giving Tree Project which serves those most in need at Christmas time. Last year, because of COVID, the Giving Tree looked a bit different. Donations only (no gifts) were requested. And your response was amazingly generous!
The managers of the organizations we partnered with highly supported our decision and the feedback we received from them last year was very positive! Since the process worked very smoothly for them, the SJ Committee decided to do the same thing again this year.
Hence, we are again asking for monetary donations only for our Giving Tree. The SJ committee will purchase gift cards with the money that is donated. We feel this is the safest and best way to support others and to continue the Giving Tree Project this year.
You are invited to donate cash or check of any amount to this project. Please put your donation in an envelope and mark it “St. Anthony Giving Tree.” You may choose to do one of the following with your donation:
- place it in the collection basket at church
- drop it off at the St. Anthony Parish Office
- mail your donation to 1870 St. Ambrose Street, Dubuque, IA 52001.
If you are writing a check make it payable to St. Anthony Giving Tree.
All donations must be received by December 9.
Your generosity is greatly appreciated! If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me and I will respond to you. Thanks for your continued support of this worthwhile project.
