Giving Tree

St. Anthony Giving Tree 2025

Dear St. Anthony Parishioner,

The Social Justice Committee has again organized the annual Giving Tree Project to serve those most in need at Christmas time. The Giving Tree will be in the gathering space from November 22 to December 14. This year we are asking for monetary donations of any amount and specific gift items. Your cash donation allows the committee to purchase the gift cards requested by the organizations. Several managers of the organizations we are partnering with have requested gift cards or cash, and we believe it’s a great solution so their residents can purchase their most needed items.

This year’s designated organizations and their wish lists are:

Open Closet – gifts for children, laundry detergent, diapers

Catholic Charities –gift cards

Dubuque Rescue Mission – hats and gloves/mittens, paper products, gift cards

HACAP (Hawkeye Area Community Action Program) – cash to be used for individual client needs

Sunnycrest Manor – gift cards & cash for their residents

MONETARY DONATIONS

If you are making a monetary donation, please place your cash or check payable to “St. Anthony Giving Tree” in an envelope and return it no later than Sunday, December 14, in one of the following ways:

  •  placing it in the collection basket at church,
  • dropping it off at the St. Anthony Parish Office, or
  • mailing it to St. Anthony Parish Office, 1870 St. Ambrose Street, Dubuque, IA 52001

GIFT ITEMS

There will be tags on the tree for specific items that you may purchase. All items should be returned unwrapped with the tag securely affixed to the outside of the package. Please deposit your items in one of the donation boxes near the tree. All items must be returned no later than Sunday, December 14.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Marabeth Freund at (563)582-0377 ext. 232

Thanks for your continued support of this worthwhile project! Your generosity is greatly appreciated!
