Giving Tree

St. Anthony Giving Tree 2023

Dear St. Anthony Parishioner,

The Social Justice Committee has again organized the annual Giving Tree Project to serve those most in need at Christmas time. The Giving Tree will be in the gathering space from November 25 to December 17.

This year we are asking for monetary donations of any amount and specific gift items. Your cash donation allows the committee to purchase the gift cards requested by the organizations. Several managers of the organizations we are partnering with have requested gift cards or cash, and we believe it’s a great solution so their residents can purchase their most needed items.

This year’s designated organizations and their wish lists are:

Open Closet – requested clothing and body care items

Catholic Charities – specific gift items and gift cards

Dream Center – cash for their particular needs

Dubuque Rescue Mission – hats and gloves/mittens and gift cards

HACAP (Hawkeye Area Community Action Program) – cash to be used for individual client needs

Sunnycrest Manor – gift cards for their residents

MONETARY DONATIONS

If you are making a monetary donation, please place your cash or check payable to “St. Anthony Giving Tree” in an envelope and return it no later than Sunday, December 17, in one of the following ways:

  • placing it in the collection basket at church,
  • dropping it off at the St. Anthony Parish Office, or
  • mailing it to St. Anthony Parish Office, 1870 St. Ambrose Street, Dubuque, IA 52001

GIFT ITEMS

There will be tags on the tree for specific items that you may purchase.  The gift tag you take will clearly state wrapped or not wrapped.  If you are wrapping a gift, please affix the tag securely to the outside of the package.  If you are providing an unwrapped gift, please deposit your items in one of the donation boxes near the tree.  All items must be returned no later than Sunday, December 17.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Marabeth Freund at (563)582-0377.

Thanks for your continued support of this worthwhile project! Your generosity is greatly appreciated!
