Letter to Liturgical Ministers

June 10, 2026

Dear Liturgical Ministers,

On behalf of the parish staff and the entire community of St. Anthony, thank you for generously offering your time and talent by serving in one or more of our liturgical ministries…some of you for many, many years. Now, as we transition into our pastorate, we are on the cusp of big changes, and I fully recognize that we’re facing extremely difficult decisions. Today, I am writing to ask you to prayerfully consider how the Holy Spirit is calling you in light of the Journey in Faith Interim Mass Schedule.  As a reminder, beginning July 18/19, the weekend Mass schedule will be as follows:

  • Saturdays 4:00pm Church of the Resurrection
  • Saturdays 5:00pm St. Joseph the Worker
  • Sundays 6:30am Church of the Nativity
  • Sundays 8:30am St. Joseph the Worker
  • Sundays 9:00am Church of the Resurrection
  • Sundays 10:00am Church of the Nativity
  • Sundays 11:00am Church of the Resurrection

Some additional information may be helpful as you ponder your call to serve.

·       The Journey in Faith Planning Team and the Liturgy Planning Committee invite St. Anthony liturgical ministers to continue to serve at Mass. Be assured that members of Nativity, Resurrection, and St. Joseph the Worker are holding us in their prayers. All of our pastorate churches are committed to working together in a spirit of hospitality and belonging as we begin working more closely together.

·       Scheduling of liturgical ministers will be handled by individual parishes. When you know at which location(s) you wish to serve, please let me know as soon as you can so that I can send your name and contact information to the liturgist at the church(es) you select.

·       You will want to attend the training session offered at the church(es) of your choice so that you will know how things work at Masses there. If you’re not able to attend the session listed below, the liturgist will be happy to meet with you at another time. Hopefully, the time can be arranged prior to July 18/19 so that from the start, St. Anthony liturgical ministers will be very visibly present when we attend any of the Masses in our pastorate.
