ST ANTHONY CATHOLIC CHURCH 2025 LENTEN OPPORTUNITIES

Ash Wednesday Mass: March 5, 2025  7:45am and 5:15pm (also livestreamed)

Little Black Book for Lent: daily devotional - available at the exits throughout Lent

Almsgiving: We hope you prayerfully consider being generous in the ways our parish already gives:
Haiti Sunday, second collections, and monthly purple bag food donations

Rice Bowls: Rice bowls will be available for pickup at the church exits. Donations can be made during weekend mass or can be dropped off at the parish office. All proceeds benefit Catholic Relief Services.

Centering Prayer: Every Wednesday throughout the year 12:00 - 12:30pm Faith Formation Office

Scripture Study: Scripture study is every Wednesday throughout the year 1:00-2:00pm in the Knepper Conference Room.  Read and reflect on the upcoming weekend's Scripture.

Stations of the Cross: Fridays, March 7-April 11 at 5:15pm in St Anthony Church

Reconciliation: Wednesday, March 12, 6:30pm.  This service is a wonderful opportunity for you and your child(ren) to experience sacramental forgiveness and reconciliation.


Parish  Book Discussion: Join the book group in reading Bread and Wine: Readings for Lent and Easter.  They will meet at 10 am every Thursday March 13- April 24 (not on April 17th) in the Faith Formation Building.  Contact Marabeth at 563-582-0377 (ext. 232) or email her at dbq060ff@dbqarch.org

Evenings of Reflection (Parish Mission): Join Sr. Julia Walsh FSPA for evenings of Lenten reflection centered on exploring the sacredness of brokenness and gain insights into how brokenness can serve the common good. Evenings of Reflection (Parish Mission) is March 30-31 from 6:30-7:30pm in the church (also livestreamed).  Refreshments and a book signing with Sr. Julia will follow the presentations. Sr. Julia Walsh FSPA is the author of For Love of the Broken Body. She also hosts Messy Jesus Business blog and podcast.

April 18 Good Friday: 1:00pm
April 19 Easter Vigil: 7:30pm (no 4:00pm mass)
April 20 Easter Sunday: 8:30am and 10:30am
(Most masses will be livestreamed)

Holy Thursday Potluck: April 17 in O'Malley Hall  5:00-7:00pm. Bring a dish to pass and your own plate and silverware.
