Scripture Reflection For The Fifth Sunday In Ordinary Time

In the Gospel today, Jesus heals Peters mother-in-law.  Jesus does much more than healing someone's physical condition.  He also gives them spiritual strength, and invites them to greater union with God.  In the healing of Peter's mother-in-law we see reaised up to new life through the power of Jesus.
